If you do an internet search, you’ll find DJ rates anywhere from $200 for a backyard graduation party to $10,000 for a wedding extravaganza. Some DJ services advertise pre-priced packages, some don’t advertise prices; instead they customize quotes based on type of event. I think it’s best to customize, and I try to take as much mystery out of pricing as possible. I start with a minimum of $300, which covers:
- Up to 5 hours of consultation/preparation before the event
- A professional audio system and lighting package
- Set up, tear down, and travel time within 50 miles of zip code 48158
- All music selections and 3 hours of music-play
- Emcee services
From there, a final quote is customized to your specific event needs/wants.
